Vision and Presidential Priorities

A Vision for Southern - March 2017

in general. But such times also present great opportunity, when proactive institutions redefine
themselves in ways that others fail to do, and become leaders among their peers.

coalitions with on- and off-campus partners and focusing on both access and excellence.

Presidential Priorities – 2017-2018

Presidential Priorities are a natural extension of the University Strategic Plan, the University Vision Statement, and ongoing Presidential goals and initiatives.  To that end, each primary and secondary goal or set of goals reflect priorities that emanate from these documents and initiatives, but focus on the immediate academic year.  Other than the broad sweep taken in the first set of priorities (University Profile), the priorities are organized as subsets of the four transitional pledges made in the Southern Connecticut State University Strategic Plan: A University for the 21st Century.
