Welcome to Distance Learning at Southern Connecticut State University!

You can take individual courses in departments such as business administration, computer science, education, business management and management information systems, nursing, psychology, political science, school health, social work, sociology, and theatre.

You can also earn a Master of Library Science degree completely online.

New To Distance Education? 

If you have never taken an online course before, the Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium (CDLC) has some helpful tips for you.

Find An Online Course 

Go to https://bannerweb.southernct.edu/

Click on "Search the Current Course Schedule."

Select a term (e.g., Fall 2010) from the dropdown menu, and click "submit."

In the box marked "Subject Code," enter a percentage sign (%).

Next to "Session," choose "Online CSU" from the dropdown menu.

Click "Class Search."

You will be given a list of all online courses in the term you chose.

How to Register for a Class

Tuition and Fees 

For information on tuition and fees for online courses, visit the Bursar's Office site and scroll down to see the section labeled "CSU Online Students."

Hoot Loot Card 

The SCSU Hoot Loot ID Card is your primary university identification card, mandatory for all students, staff and faculty. Online students can send an email to onecard@southernct.edu to request a non-photo SCSU Online Student ID card. Include your ID number and permanent mailing address in your request. Your ID will be mailed following verification of your enrollment in an online study program.

Buley Library's services for distance students

Buley Library now has over 30,000 journal title available online, over 400 electronic reference books, and over 600 monograph ebooks
