Southern Connecticut State University is a medium-sized university campus (about 10,500 students) located on 168 acres in New Haven, Connecticut--a coastal city approximately two hours northeast of New York City and two-and-a-half hours southwest of Boston, Massachusetts. And while quick and convenient public transportation is available for travel to both metropolitan centers, New Haven provides easy access to the scenic Connecticut shoreline, as well as the picturesque towns and villages of Connecticut's Northeast corner, the Berkshires in Massachussetts, and many more lovely New England settings. What sets Southern apart from other schools is our friendly campus community, where students will find academic excellence, innovative approaches to learning, and close working relationships between faculty and students. With 114 undergraduate and graduate programs, Southern prepares students for a rewarding professional life in fields such as Business, Psychology, Nursing, Education, Biology, Public Health, Communication, and more.
Assistant Director and F-1 Student Advisor, Michael Schindel , assists prospective students with the application process, evaluation of academic records, and initial immigration issues.
