Overview of the Minor
The Minor in Renaissance Studies is an 18-credit minor that gives you a chance to build on your existing major and Southern’s LEP courses in order to create a unique program of study in literature, visual art, theatre, and the intellectual history of the Renaissance in England and Europe from 1300-1700.
Anyone can minor in Renaissance Studies. Based on your interests and in consultation with the program coordinator, you’ll choose courses from two areas of knowledge: Historical and Intellectual Foundations of the Renaissance (9 credits) and The Renaissance Imagination (9 credits).
