Dr. Robert Forbus
Dr. Forbus earned a both a master’s and a Ph.D. in Communication Science, with emphasis on Marketing Communication, from the University of Connecticut. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Montevallo and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.
As a teacher, Dr. Forbus builds upon two decades of experience in marketing communications and public relations, only embarking on an academic career in 2004. Thus, Dr. Forbus has an entrepreneurial orientation to his teaching.
As a scholar, Dr. Forbus co-authored with Dr. Jason Snyder the 2014 book titled Today's Business Communication: A How-To Guide for the Modern Professional, published by Business Expert Press, New York, N.Y. He has also published in peer-reviewed journals on health marketing and other research topics.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Forbus serves as Assistant to the Dean and Accreditation Coordinator for the School of Business. An advocate for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dr. Forbus is a member of the advisory board for the ASD Fitness Center in Orange, Connecticut. He and his spouse, Scott, a registered nurse, live in Central Connecticut.
