Accreditation and Outcomes

The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). CAATE is the agency responsible for the accreditation of athletic training programs. The Southern Connecticut State program is the longest accredited program in Connecticut, and recently underwent a comprehensive review through that organization.  After our re-accreditation process was completed, we were awarded a 10-year accreditation with our next scheduled comprehensive review set for 2027.
