new england regional student program
Southern Connecticut State University participates in a regional cooperative program administered by the New England Board of Higher Education. This program, known as the New England Regional Tuition Break Program, permits qualified residents of the New England states to study with special admission and tuition privileges in certain programs at Southern. The Tuition Break program is intended to expand opportunities for higher education for New England residents by making available, on an equal basis to all, those courses not commonly offered at every institution.
Students from the states listed here may enroll at Southern Connecticut State University in the programs listed below. Such students pay a reduced tuition rate (see NEBHE tuition rates on the Bursar's webpage). Students must submit to the Records Office a newly completed application each semester in order to maintain eligibility for this program.
Detailed information about this exceptional program can be obtained through the Southern Admissions Office, from any high school guidance counselor, or from the New England Board of Higher Education, 45 Temple Place, Boston, MA 02111 or www.nebhe.org/tuitionbreak
