Our mission is to maintain and enhance the physical facilities and grounds of the university. We provide Southern with the designing, planning, construction, maintenance, and repair services for the university's buildings, grounds, and utility systems while providing the highest quality of service to the campus community. In order to do this, we solicit your help and suggestions for improvement.

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Any disaster or unusual occurrence threatening life or property should be reported immediately to the University Police at extension 2-5375.

Reporting Problems With Facilities

Present the following information directed as indicated below:

7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday:

Call the Facilities Operations Dispatch Office at Extension 2-6051

After 2:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays to report emergency situations:

October 15 - April 30
Call the University Heating Plant at Extension 2-5498. It is staffed 24 hours each day.

May 1 - October 14
Call the University Police at Extension 2-5375.            

                        "SeeClickFix" 

SeeClickFix went live on 6/28/2011.  SeeClickFix will help our students, faculty and staff to report issues on campus that need to be addressed in a timely manner.  Our campus community can now report on the following topics using a computer on campus or using their phones (they will be able to download an app for their phone).

"SeeCliclFix" is web based and anyone can report issues from their computer or phone.  The web link and phone app are based on Google Maps and when you click on the web link or the app on your phone, Google Maps using GPS will pinpoint your location and show a street map of our campus. You then will be able to drag a red flag to the exact location of the issue you want to report. Members of our campus community will be able then to choose which topics to report and give a short description of the problem.  On your phone, you can even take a picture of the problem and attach it to the work request. All issues reported will be viewable on our Facilities website.  The requester and our campus community will be able to follow the progress of all work requests. Notifications (emails) are sent to the proper individuals who are responsible to respond to the work requests and to the one that reported the problem. So everyone will know when an issue is being worked on and fixed.
