Required Education – For Rank of Assistant or Associate Professor:
A research doctorate in Management Information Systems or related field is required, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD applicants will be considered. Earned doctorate must be completed within two years of appointment.
Required Education – For Rank of Instructor:
An earned Masters in Management Information Systems or a related field required, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution. Additionally, the candidate will possess MIS experience at a high level within the past 5 years.
Required Qualifications – All Ranks:
Successful candidates must demonstrate their ability to be qualified under our AACSB standards.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels; teaching responsibilities may include evenings and weekends. Scholarly activities, productive service and student advisement are required; engagement with the business community is expected.
All candidates must demonstrate evidence of their ability to teach effectively at the university level to a diverse group of undergraduate and/or MBA students as well as their ability to teach hybrid online/on-ground classes.
Candidates must demonstrate an ability to engage in meaningful scholarship, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals in their discipline.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate their qualifications and experience in teaching several or more of our existing MIS or MBA courses. Preference will be given to candidates who are Certified Project Managers Professionals (PMP), and can demonstrate relevant industry in experience in leadership role(s). Preference will be given to candidates with earned terminal degrees, preferably from an AACSB accredited institution.
