Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities:

This is a 10-month tenure-track position.Teach undergraduate and graduate Exercise Science courses including Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Organization & Administration in Exercise Science, Pathophysiology,and/or other courses as assigned by the Exercise Science Department Chairperson.Conduct and publish research/scholarly activity in the areas of exercise science and/or related areas of study.Advise and direct student research (i.e., Master's Theses, Independent Studies, Undergraduate Honors Theses). Advise undergraduate and graduate students in Exercise Science – Human Performance.Provide professional service to the Department, School and University.

Required Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in exercise science, kinesiology or related field.Evidence of ability to teach effectively at university level in related courses described above.Ability to engage in meaningful scholarly activity, leading to presentations at professional meetings and publications in peer-reviewed journals.Potential for obtaining grants from internal and external sources.Ability to work and interact successfully with students, colleagues and the community.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional involvement, including leadership activities and certifications in ACSM, NSCA and other allied health-related professional organizations (HFS, RCEP, PT, ATC, CSCS, etc.)
