Ability to teach across the undergraduate and graduate curricula with specialization in adult health nursing education.
Brief Description of Duties/Responsibilities: Teaching load consists of courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, direct and/or indirect clinical supervision, laboratory instruction, and thesis/special project/dissertation advisement. In addition to classroom, clinical, and/or laboratory teaching responsibilities, faculty are expected to engage in scholarship/creative activity and service. Faculty are assigned to a 12-credit hour teaching load each semester.

Required Qualifications: Masters degree in nursing with substantial progress towards doctorate, CT Registered Nurse license. Earned Doctorate must be obtained within two years of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate. Other preferred qualifications include recent clinical experience caring for adults in the clinical area, national certification(s), use of high fidelity simulation, experience with online teaching, evidence of scholarship, leadership, creative activity, and teaching experience at the baccalaureate or graduate level strongly preferred. Experience with diverse learners (i.e., second degree accelerated learners) is also preferred.
