PIVOT Database of Funding Opportunities

PIVOT is SCSU's subscription database for federal, state, private and nonprofit funding sources. The database contains over 25,000 opportunities related to all academic areas, including the arts, humanities, social sciences and physical sciences. PIVOT is available to SCSU faculty, staff, and students from any computer. Once on the PIVOT website, a personal account may be established. PIVOT offers useful features such as a pre-established (faculty) profile based on publicly available information, identification of internal and external researchers with similar research interests, and enhanced user interface for managing multiple funding opportunity searches. SPAR contracts with RefWorks-COS for access to the PIVOT database.

You can begin your PIVOT account set-up by going to PIVOT's page here. Once you are registered, you will be asked to claim and set up your profile. These steps are outlined in PIVOT's resource guide - Getting Started with PIVOT.

PIVOT allows for the construction of saved and curated funding searches based on selected criteria. After establishing a PIVOT account, you may review any of the regularly-updated funding opportunity lists or use them as a starting point to locate funding opportunities specific to your individual research interests:
