September 2018

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies fall 2018 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.   Financial aid awards will be adjusted, reduced or, in some cases canceled for students who have changed their enrollment status (i.e., a change from full-time to part-time).   Aid also may be adjusted due to outside resources and scholarships.

October 2018

The 2019-2020 FAFSA is available as of October 1, 2018.  You must use 2017 income and tax information to complete the FAFSA.  Federal Student Aid will send to you a Student Aid Report (SAR).  Be sure to read the SAR, as it will alert you to any issues that you need to correct.

November 2018

November 1, 2018 - Priority date - Students starting in the spring 2019 semester should complete the 2018-2019 FAFSA by November 1.

November 1, 2018 - New freshmen with an early admission decision for the 2019-2020 academic year should complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA.

December 2018

December 15 - The spring 2019 payment is due on December 15, 2018, and must be paid directly to the Student Accounts Office.

Students who do not have financial aid, or enough financial aid, credited to their bill by the payment due date, December 15, MUST PAY THE BILL OR ENROLL IN THE UNIVERSITY'S PAYMENT PLAN.

February 2019

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies spring 2019 enrollment for all financial aid recipients. Financial aid awards will be adjusted, reduced or, in some cases, canceled for half-time and less than half-time enrollment.  Aid also may be adjusted due to outside resources and scholarships.

March 2019

March 15 - SCSU's priority date for filing the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is March 15, 2019. 

The FAFSA must be processed by our priority date to be considered on-time.

The Summer Financial Aid Application will be available the first Monday in March.

april 2019

Candidates for May 2019 graduation who borrowed a Federal Family Educational Loan, Direct Loan (subsidized/unsubsidized) or a Federal Perkins Loan must complete the online exit counseling session(s). Check your SCSU email for further instructions.

May 2019

Financial aid recipients who did not maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) during the 2018-2019 academic year will be notified in writing by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships after the final grades are posted.

june 2019

TBA - Students selected for verification must submit all requested documents to have their file reviewed prior to the bill due date.

Continuing and transfer students will receive their 2019-2020 financial aid award notification via their SCSU email account.  Be sure to complete all requirements associated with the type(s) of aid you accept.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships verifies summer 2019 enrollment for all financial aid recipients.  Financial aid awards will be adjusted, reduced or, in some cases, canceled for less than half-time enrollment.

Check your Banner Web account and complete all outstanding financial aid requirements.  Financial aid will not credit to your bill if you have not completed all requirements.

TBA - The deadline for submitting the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Form and/or Satisfactory Academic Plan.

july 2019

July 15 - The fall 2019 payment is due on July 15, 2019, and must be paid directly to the Student Accounts Office.
