Opportunities For Giving

make a gift

There are a number of ways you can make a gift to Southern, through the SCSU Foundation. Regardless of the method you choose, your gift will have an impact on our students, our campus, and the community at large.

GIVE ONLINE:

Make a gift online now by credit card on our secure site. This is the simplest and
most direct way to give.

GIVE BY CHECK OR CREDIT CARD :

Mail your gift by check, made payable to: SCSU FOUNDATION

Southern Connecticut State University Foundation INC.
P.O. Box 846120
Boston, MA 02284-6120

Credit card gifts can also be made by calling (203) 392-7083.

MATCHING GIFTS:

Check to see if your employer matches gifts to Southern. Many employers often offer a matching gift program that enables donors to leverage the value of their gift considerably--often doubling or tripling the impact of the gift. Participation usually entails completing a form or calling a "matching gift hot line." Consult your employer's human resources department for additional information.  Click here for more information or contact Sue Quagliaroli at (203) 392-7083.

ENDOWMENTS:

Endowments can be established for something that has special meaning to you or you can contribute to an existing endowment of your choice. There are numerous opportunities to establish new named endowments, such as scholarships, professorships, and academic centers. Gifts to establish new endowments have specified minimum funding levels. For more information, please call (203) 392-5598.

PLANNED GIVING:

Planned gifts, also called deferred or estate gifts, are ways for you to manage your affairs, plan for the future, and make a gift to Southern. Among the most common types of planned gifts are bequests (a gift by will), life insurance, charitable gift annuities that pay you income, and gifts of IRA and other retirement assets. Planned gifts also include trusts (testamentary, charitable lead, and charitable remainder), gifts of appreciated assets of property and bargain sales. Click here for more information.
