Release of Information

Parents and other third parties can utilize many of the eBill + Payment Suite features as "authorized users" on their student's account.  As an authorized user, parents/third parties will receive email notification when new bills are posted and can make payments easily online.  Becoming an authorized user will also be necessary to discuss any information with the Bursar's Office, due to privacy laws, about a student's account.  Please see the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Notification for more information. 

ADD AN AUTHORIZED USER                                     
 
1. Log into MySCSU - Banner Web - Student Services
2. Click "View EBill or Make Payment”
3. Go to the Authorized User Tab under My Account and follow the steps 
4.
The authorized user will receive an email shortly providing log in instructions and an initial password. 

Prior to the release of any information to students or authorized users, the Bursar’s Office does require the following:

In-Person Inquiries:    Student ID # & Date of birth (SCSU/Government issued photo ID also acceptable)
Telephone Inquiries:   Student ID # & Date of birth
Email Inquiries:         Student ID # & Responses only sent to Owl’s or authorized user email accounts

Payments may be applied to a student’s account using only the Student’s ID if an unauthorized user does not require any information be disclosed, i.e. can obtain the bill/payment balance due from the student in advance.
