We offer the following services to help employers and students make that perfect connection:
JOBSs – Job Opportunities Benefiting Southern students is SCSU's portal to NACElink. NACElink is a robust online job search database, powered by the DirectEmployers Association and Simplicity. Here you can connect directly to students and alumni to fill positions with qualified candidates. Employers already a part of NACElink can utilize the multi-school posting system.
Cooperative Education – We connect employers and students through our Cooperative Education Program. Our Co-op employers have found the program to be an invaluable recruiting tool in attracting talented soon-to-be college graduates. Our Co-op students have worked for IBM, ESPN, Social Security Administration and United Technologies, to name a few. Qualified students can spend a semester, summer, or six months working part-time or full-time in the fields of business, industry, human services, or government.
On-Campus Interview Program – Finding the right candidate is an important part of any organization's success. SCSU's on-campus interview program offers employers a convenient and efficient way to interview professionally trained and skilled students right in our office. Recruitment dates are available during both the fall and spring semesters.
Career Fair - Employers appreciate the opportunity to meet and interact with approximately 1,000 qualified students and alumni at our annual Career Fair.
Information Sessions – Meet potential candidates in the informal setting of the Adanti Student Center . Informational Sessions offer a unique opportunity to let students get to know who you are as an employer outside of the sometimes stressful parameters of a job interview.
Employer Classroom Initiatives – The Center's professional staff often work with representatives from the employment community to present informative workshops. These workshops and presentations are conducted both at the Center for Career Services and in the classroom.
Full Service for Career Advising– Our center helps prepare students to meet the demands of the professional world. In addition to connecting students with employers we provide opportunities for students to learn how to choose a major and career, how to dress professionally, conduct a job search, and much more. We do this though our counseling staff, resource library, online resources, and strategic partnerships with both on-campus student organizations and employers. We encourage you to speak with our staff about what we can do to provide unique learning opportunities for our students that are compatible with your organization's mission and that help you to meet your recruiting goals.
