Southern Connecticut State University Men's lacrosse team participating in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association via the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League. We serve as an opportunity for student-athletes at SCSU to play intercollegiate lacrosse, while allowing those students to also keep time for their studies. Lacrosse teams in the MCLA are labeled as "virtual varsity" with some programs sending players to the professional leagues (MLL and NLL) and other programs being promoted to varsity status on campus. Our hopes are to one day win the PCLL and play for a Division II National Championship.
Founded in 2009, the Men's Club Lacrosse team competes in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) as part of the Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL). The team competes against in-state opponents of the University of New Haven, Central Connecticut State University, and the United States Coast Guard Academy. Additionally, they play out of state teams such as Stonehill, Worcester Polytechnical Institute, Bridgewater State College and others.
The teams home games are played at SCSU's Club Sports Field.
