Checks are also accepted by mail, telephone, or in-person at the Student Accounts Office, made payable to Southern Connecticut State University. Cashier's checks and money orders are also accepted. Please always include student ID and name. Personal checks may be scanned and turned into electronic payments. Checks returned as uncollectible will be assessed a $20.00 fee, and after 2 occurrences, payments by check will no longer be accepted on the account.
Cash is accepted in person at the Student Accounts Office.
Debit cards are accepted as PIN transactions at the Student Accounts Office. Debit cards are accepted online if your bank participates in online PIN-Less debit transactions.
American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa are accepted online only. Credit card payments are assessed an additional 2.5% non-refundable convenience fee, as part of the PayPath tuition payment service thru eBill + Payment Suite.
Checks may be mailed directly to SCSU Student Accounts Office, 501 Crescent St., New Haven, CT 06515. Please contact your issuer to ensure payment deadlines are met, as they may require 2-3 weeks for processing and delivery, and always include the student ID and name in the memo line.
Hoot Loot is accepted to pay non-institutional charges. Hoot Loot may not be used to pay tuition, housing charges, or registration/course fees. For more information please visit the University Card Office web site.
Both domestic and international wires are accepted for payment of tuition and fees. Please call the Student Accounts Office at 203-392-6140 to obtain wire transfer instructions.
