Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center at Southern provides services that support students on their journeys to gain scholastic independence and achieve academic success. The Academic Success Center’s aim is to assist students to become more independent and self-motivated learners, to master course material, and to develop and apply effective study strategies. This center serves the entire student body by helping students prepare, advance, and excel. It will provide an environment that is personal, caring, accessible, and friendly where students can make it their home for academic support.
The Academic Advisement Center familiarizes students with college policies and degree requirements; evaluates with students their academic performance and direct them to appropriate campus resources; and provides an information exchange between advisor and advisee to help foster student success. The Center is located in the Wintergreen Building.
Disability Resource Center
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) provides students, faculty and staff with assistance and information on issues of access and full participation for persons with disabilities at the university. The DRC's principal duty is to provide services and supports that promote educational equity for students with disabilities. Assistance includes arranging accommodations and auxiliary aids that are necessary for students with disabilities to pursue their academic studies, both in and out of the classroom.
Center for Adaptive Technology
Established in 1989 as the Adaptive Technology Lab, the Center for Adaptive Technology has a three-part mission to:

The Center has also installed accessible stations throughout most computer labs on campus, as well as Buley Library and several dorms.
