Commencement for Graduate Students
Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 2pm and 7pm.
John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts
On May 15, 2014, Southern Connecticut State University will hold its spring Graduate Commencement in the John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts. We anticipate that more than 1,000 master's degrees, sixth year diplomas, and doctoral degrees will be awarded.
Due to the large number of potential eligible graduates and the nature of the Commencement, which will feature a hooding ceremony as well as the presentation of degrees, we will hold two separate ceremonies. The first will be from 2-4 p.m. for graduates in the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, and the School of Health and Human Services. The second ceremony, from 7-9 p.m., will be for graduates in the School of Education.
The awarding of a master's degree, sixth year diploma, or a doctorate degree is not an automatic process. If you foresee yourself completing your degree or diploma requirements this spring semester, you must complete Application for Graduate Degree Form. If you intend to participate in the ceremony, please indicate it on this form.
Visit Commencement for details including academic regalia, tickets, and ceremony.
Registration for the Graduate Commencement ceremony has been closed. For questions, please contact Claudia Guy at (203) 392-5236.
