Rotary Foundation Scholarships
The Ambassadorial Scholarships Program of The Rotary Foundation is the world's largest privately funded international scholarships program. Scholarships are offered to graduate students who choose to study or volunteer abroad in one of the club's six "Areas of Focus":
1) Promoting Peace
2) Fighting Disease
3) Providing Clean Water
4) Saving Mothers & Children
5) Supporting Education
6) Growing Local Economies
Funds for these scholarships are "Global Grants" from the Rotary Foundation and can provide up to $30,000 for various costs including tuition, visa support, room and board, etc.
The Rotary Foundation also offers 100 Peace Fellowships to graduate students interested in studying conflict prevention and resolution at one of the Foundation's five partner universities in Japan, Sweden, England, Australia and the U.S. These fellowships cover tuition, housing and meals, airfare and other costs, for the 15-24 months the student will attend their selected university.
Students apply for scholarships and fellowships by contacting their local Rotary Club (New Haven, District 7980). We recommend speaking with an OIE Coordinator to get your application underway.
