Mathematical Puzzle Programs (MaPP) High School Challenge

What:   a competition for teams of 4-8 high school students, supported by the SCSU Center for Excellence in Mathematics and Science and MAA's Dolciani Mathematics Enrichment Grant Program. Any high school in Connecticut is welcome to participate. We expect most participating schools to bring one team, but where there is exuberant interest or a large math team, a school may bring two teams. (If you want to bring a third team contact Braxton directly.)
When:   March 31, 2017 (registration 12:00pm-12:30pm, competitors leave campus by 5:00pm)

Preparation   Competition booklets from past years can be found on the MaPP website. Also SCSU holds two "Puzzle Nights" to expose and prepare teams for the type of puzzle they may see. Any number of students are welcome, so if the whole team can't attend please send any students interested. This year the puzzle nights will take place on February 6th and 20th from 5-7pm on campus in Engleman Hall D-125. Pizza and Sodas will be provided so please contact Braxton Carrigan ( if you plan to attend to ensure enough food is available.

The registration fee for this event will be $60 per team, roughly half the expected fee for upcoming years. (Thanks to the MAA's Dolciani Mathematics Enrichment Grant Program, don't wait until next year!) T-shirts, snacks, and awards will be provided.
