Iota Iota Iota, Women's and Gender Studies Honor Society

Southern Connecticut State University's Women's and Gender Studies Honor Society, Iota Iota Iota (aka Triota) is the national honor society for the field of Women's Studies. The purpose of this organization is to encourage and support scholarship and excellence in Women's and Gender Studies, facilitate social justice activism, and sponsor community service projects that benefit others in need. Triotans strive to represent and promote the feminist values of egalitarianism, inclusiveness, social justice, and the affirmation and celebration of diversity.

At Southern, we are the Kappa Chapter of this national honor society, established here on campus in 2000. We hold online meetings generally twice a month, unless we are conducting an event that requires additional planning and implementation.
