Facilities

The following facilities are available for use by students in the Communication Disorders programs.

Center for Communication Disorders

The Center for Communication Disorders (CCD) is an on-campus public service clinic for the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders. The CCD houses the clinical component of the academic program. Clinical services are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Southern Connecticut Audiology Services

Southern Connecticut Audiology Services offers behavioral and electrophysiological evaluation for both peripheral and and central auditory function as well as aural rehabilitation, hearing aid fitting services and auditory training for auditory processing disorders.

Center for Adaptive Technology

The Center for Adaptive Technology provides students with special needs with the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art computer technology and instrumentation. Evaluation and treatment services are offered.

Student Lounge

A Student Lounge provided by the university is located in close proximity to clinical and classroom areas.

Graduate Student Workroom

A Graduate Student Workroom is situated within the department and may be used by students for clinical and academic preparation.

Multimedia Classrooms

Multimedia classrooms are located within the program facilities and are available for teaching and special events.

Buley Library

Buley Library is a full-service academic library available to all university students. It includes computer laboratories and multimedia services.
