COMPASS Drop-in Childcare and Family Resource Center provides the following financial, educational and other resources for parents on campus.
COMPASS Childcare Subsidy Application
Thanks to a U.S. Office of Education CCAMPIS grant, Southern provides eligible student-parents with up to $4,500 annually to offset their childcare expenses while they are engaged in academic activities. To be considered, you must be Pell-eligible. If you are currently in need of assistance to cover the cost of childcare off campus (at an accredited organization), please complete the childcare services stipend application. These funds are intended to assist student parents with the following: before or afterschool care, daycare expenses, and/or summer camp. These funds are specifically provided to increase student parents’ persistence, academic success, and graduation. If you have any questions or need help filling out the application, please contact Heather Jimenez (203)392-8815 or druanh1@southernct.edu
