The Integrated Communications & Marketing team provides a range of services to Southern's faculty and staff, with a focus on creating and maintaining a unified look, feel, and voice across modes of communication while promoting the university's mission and core values in all that we produce.
This page reflects a range of services we offer. We carefully review and prioritize all requests to ensure fair and thoughtful consideration. While we make every effort to accommodate requests, not all requests can be honored due to capacity, scope, or other constraints.
Do you have a news story you would like to share with the campus community and/or the general public? Integrated Communications & Marketing is always looking for story ideas and tips.

Integrated Communications & Marketing creates and produces promotional material for print and digital media. We provide consultation on brand application guidelines and standards, as well as tools, resources, and branded templates. In addition, we coordinate the writing, development and placement of university advertising and related marketing initiatives, helping to develop unique themes that communicate Southern's mission and programs to the general public.
We are available for web and social media training and assistance with design, document preparation, and copywriting/editing within the scope of the Southern brand initiative. Our services include graphic design, photography, videography, writing, and editing.
The university photographer provides images for all aspects of marketing on behalf of the university, and documents everyday life on the campus, as well as newsworthy events, and takes environmental portraits and head shots of faculty, staff, and students as needed for university purposes.
Photography services are only available upon written request and depend upon the availability of the photographer. There may be a charge to a university department for enlargements, digital files, and services.

If you are a member of the campus community preparing for a media interview, or you have general questions about the process, Integrated Communications & Marketing can help.
We understand that being interviewed on TV or radio, or even speaking with a newspaper reporter, can be stressful – especially for those with little or no experience dealing with the media. We can offer suggestions or, in some cases, provide a simulated interview to better prepare you.
