Meet Jordan Davis: A Champion in the Making

From SCSU to the Olympic Trials: The Journey of Jordan Davis

Jordan Davis has not only left a mark on Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) but also on the national stage as an elite javelin thrower. Graduating from SCSU in 2024, Jordan’s journey is one of dedication, hard work, and extraordinary achievements.

In high school, Jordan Davis faced a major setback after a severe car accident jeopardized his athletic career. Southern Connecticut State University, offered him the support and opportunities to pivot from football to javelin throwing. With strong backing from the Southern community and strong coaching from track and field coach and alum Dan Labbadia, Jordan overcame his challenges, achieved record-breaking performances, and set his sights on the Olympics.
