Students and authorized users have the option of paying online with eCheck, debit card and credit card. Debit card payments are processed fee-free, unlike credit card payments. However, some bank debit cards (including Bank of America, Wells Fargo and US Bank) have chosen not to participate in online debit transactions.
Debit card payments are processed as PIN-less transactions. Users should check with their individual bank to see if they participate in online PIN-less debit transactions.
How to Save a debit card payment method
STUDENTS: Log in to MySCSU. Click on Banner Web. In Banner Web select Student Services click "View EBill or Make Payment" and click View bills and make payment button.
AUTHORIZED USERS: Log in via the eBill + Payment Suite log in page.
You will be directed to the Southern eBill Student Account page. From there click on My Account on the navigation menu on the top of the page. Select the My Profiles options.
On the Profile Settings page, click on Add New Payment Method.
From the Select Payment Method drop down menu select ATM Debit Card and click the Select button. Enter the required debit card information and click Continue.
If your debit card is eligible to make online PIN-less debit transactions, the system will then prompt you for additional card information, including cardholder name, expiration date and allow you to designate an account name. If your bank does not permit online PIN-less debit transactions, you will receive an error message after entering your card number; you will be unable to utilize this card as a debit card, you can however use the card as a credit card.
