The Office of Residence Life opened its 350-student co-ed residence hall for the Fall 2004 semester. The West Campus residence complex offers two living styles -- traditional double or triple rooms and single bedrooms in suite-style housing. There is no credit requirement or limit for suite-style accommodations, but only students with fewer than 60 credits may reside in traditional, straightline-style double or triple rooms.
Similar to the straightline residence halls located on the Residence Life Quad, half of West Campus features traditional collegiate-style double or triple accommodations, with rooms including the following amenities:
- Closets and drawer space
- Beds with mattresses
- Two or three desks
- Two or three chairs
- Compact microwave/refrigerator unit
All rooms feature cable television and wireless Internet. On each floor of the hall is a community bathroom with multiple shower units, toilets, and sinks for use by residents of that floor. In addition, each floor has a common area lounge (often a site for social, cultural, and educational programs) and quiet study room.
The second half of West Campus features suite-style, quad-occupancy housing. Each student enjoys his or her own personal bedroom while sharing a common living room (furnished with couches, end and coffee tables), storage space, and entryway. Each suite also includes two bathrooms and two compact microwave/refrigerator units. Each room features cable television and wireless Internet. Each bedroom in a suite includes the following amenities:
- One closet and dresser
- One bed with mattress
- One desk
- One chair
West Campus also offer recreation equipment (ex. pool tables and foosball), a video game room (equipped with televisions and gaming systems), and a computer lab located on the second floor available to all students. Students must sign in at the front desk of the building, then they may go upstairs to use the computer lab.
The West Campus Computer Lab is accessible 24 hours/day, 7 days/week utilizing your student ID.
