Southern On the Green Facilities Information
Southern on the Green is a suite of offices and seminar rooms on the 10th floor of 900 Chapel Street. It is adjacent to the headquarters of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and overlooks The New Haven Green. Southern on the Green is an ideal location for businesses and organizations to host an event, class, seminar, or workshop.

THE FACILITIES/ROOM SPECIFICATIONS
There are three conference/seminar rooms available for use, along with offices and a large boardroom. Wi-fi is available on site and all rooms are furnished. The seminar rooms have white boards or video capability and a portable digital projector is available. There are two spaces we use in conjunction with the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce (GNHCC): a lobby area available for check-in and a small reception space.

Wi-fi is available on-site. If you are reserving a smart room at SOTG, we use this space in conjunction with the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce. Directions are available for both the large smart boardroom and the smart conference room. You will need to bring your own laptop or we can reserve one for you if it is available.
GETTING TO SOUTHERN ON THE GREEN
The easiest way to get from the SCSU campus to Southern on the Green is by taking the University Shuttle that travels to and from Union Station and requesting that the driver stop at Southern on the Green.
- Shuttle holds 18-20 people
- Pick-up on the SCSU campus is at Morrill Hall
- Pick-up from Southern on the Green is at bus stop across from 900 Chapel Street

Monday –Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Note: Last pick-up from SCSU campus to SOTG is at 8 p.m. Last pick-up from SOTG to campus at 8:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Note: Last pick-up from campus to SOTG is at 4 p.m. Last pick-up from SOTG to campus is at 4:25 p.m.
No shuttle Saturday/ Sunday. We can arrange a weekend shuttle for special events.

Parking on Street:
There is a downloadable New Haven parking app for frequent visitors that allows you to recharge the meter remotely. Cost: $1.50 per hour in two-hour time segments; after 5 p.m. $1.50 per hour with unlimited time.
Crown Street Parking Lot:
Parking is available at Crown Street Parking Lot, 213 Crown Street, New Haven. Parking validation or discount parking is available for some events. Once you park, exit the lot onto College Street and take a right toward Chapel Street. Take a right on Chapel Street and walk two blocks – 900 Chapel is on the right. If the Crown Street lot is full you will be directed to the Temple Street Lot.
Driving Directions to SOTG from Campus:
Take Fitch Street south to Whalley Avenue. Take a left onto Whalley Avenue and drive two miles. Turn right onto College Street. Follow College Street across Chapel Street, and there is an entrance to the Crown Street Parking Lot on your left (just after construction).
Driving Directions from Campus to Crown Street Parking Lot:
Follow directions above, once you turn right into College Street continue right, crossing over Chapel Street. An entrance to the CrownStreet lot is on the left just past the Shubert Theater. If the lot is full, park at the Temple Street Lot at 1 Temple Street.
