The Minor in Music is tailor-made to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of music theory and literature while helping you develop intermediate-level skills in performance areas of your choice.
To help you hone your skills and build your confidence, you'll participate in a performing group for three semesters, giving you ample opportunity to showcase your talents and grow as a musician. Our experienced faculty and talented peers will support you every step of the way, providing guidance and inspiration to help you achieve your goals.
Music minors are also eligible to participate in Southern's signature Applied Lessons program, supported by the Stutzman Family Foundation, in which students receive private lessons in instrumental or vocal music, tuition-free.
