At SCSU, the Office of Career and Professional Development serves as your gateway to establishing and strengthening recruitment partnerships with our dedicated faculty, staff, and driven students.
We encourage employers to utilize clubs and organizations as a direct link to an engaged and targeted audience. The OCPD staff can assist in coordinating guest speakers or panelists during the clubs' scheduled meetings and events.

Let us bring Southern to you. This option works well for employers seeking to share their space, company culture and introduce multiple facets of an organization. This can include, but is not limited to, panel discussions with current employees, site tours, an overview of the organization, Q&A, or a Lunch Roundtable.
If you hire multiple interns per semester from SCSU, we encourage you to spend the day with us to onboard your future interns with on-site training; while providing the interns a chance to get to know each other prior to the start of the internship.
The Division of Student Affairs at SCSU invites you to immerse yourself in our themed weeks, focused on three main goals to help students Thrive, Matter, and Succeed. For a full list of the 23.24 themed week schedule, please email moranp7@southernct.edu

Reviewing resumes for select groups of students is a strategy well-used by employers seeking to develop an early talent pipeline
SCSU is excited to highlight a collaboration with Parker Dewey and the Frederick A. Deluca Foundation (click here) that allows our employer partners to engage our students in short-term, professional, paid work experiences at no cost to you. The students receive compensation through a generous grant from the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation. Through Micro-Internships, students can demonstrate their skills, explore career paths, and develop their professional networks. These paid projects can typically be completed remotely and can be posted NOW or throughout the year.
